Pupil Leaders

School Council

Mora's School Council comprises twelve class representatives, elected annually by the children in their classes. They meet regularly to represent the views of the pupils and to let adults know their feelings and opinions about things that affect them. They take an active part in helping to improve the school and have, for example, created a Friendship Bench for the playground following a pupil's suggestion. In addition, they organise events to benefit the local community, for example, encouraging donations for the local Food Bank. In the wider community, the children continue to organise support for charities such as Comic Relief. Each year the School Council visits the Houses of Parliament to learn about democracy.

House Captains

The House Captains play a vital role in fostering a sense of community and leadership among our students. House Captains are responsible for encouraging their peers to earn house points, which contribute to a friendly competition that promotes teamwork and school spirit. They present special awards in assemblies, collate house points, award lining up points and lead their houses on sports day.

Eco Warriors

At Mora Primary, we believe in instilling a sense of responsibility towards our environment in our students. Our Eco Warriors initiative encourages children to actively participate in recycling efforts by collecting paper and other recyclable materials used throughout the school day. Our Eco Warriors understand the importance of their actions in protecting our planet for future generations.

Play & Dance Leaders

Play and dance leaders are a group of Year 5 & children who have been trained to organise activities for other children in the playground. They encourage children to join in games, create dance routines and extend their friendships. The leadership skills that they have been taught will also help to raise self-esteem, self -confidence and encourage physical activity.
