Geography at Mora

Geography at Mora aims to offer a curriculum that ensures a greater understanding of geographical and environmental factors in the world around us.

Teaching is stimulating, exciting and inclusive for all, providing children with key life skills such as teamwork, empathy, communication, language, thinking and independence skills which develop children both academically and socially.

Children are encouraged during lessons to become geographers, employing the skills that these professionals would need to study their chosen topic. A range of hands-on resources and activities are used to enhance the teaching of geography including trips, ICT, artefacts exploration and using subject specific equipment. These activities give children a greater understanding of their topics and they love getting their hands dirty!
