Art at Mora

The Mora art curriculum helps children develop a range of ways in which they can explore their own creativity, whilst experimenting with different materials and learning about many art forms. Art lessons are about building confidence and instilling a ‘can do’ attitude, where all children are encouraged to have a go. We use art and creative expression as a tool to motivate, inspire and help bring academic learning to life.

Our curriculum stimulates the imagination by involving our children in a range of visual, tactile and sensory experiences, which enables them to communicate what they see, think and feel. It instills an appreciation and enjoyment of the visual arts and enables our children to develop a natural sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around them.

At Mora, we see every child as an artist and ensure that every one of our children has the opportunity to discover and nurture their own creativity. You only have to look at our children’s sketchbooks and take a walk through our colourful hallways to see the impact art has on everyone.

Every class (Years 1-6) has a weekly art lesson, taught by a specialist art teacher.
